1. Delete from inside the app
If you still have TimeLock installed, this is the fastest way:
- Open TimeLock and sign in.
- Tap your Profile tab, then Privacy & Security.
- Tap Delete Account, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete Account again.
Your account is deactivated immediately and you're signed out on this device. Any letters you had scheduled will not be delivered.
2. Delete by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email us from the address tied to your TimeLock account:
Use the subject line “Delete my account”. You don't need to explain why.
We'll confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days. If we can't verify the request came from the account holder, we may ask one follow-up question before proceeding.
3. What gets deleted
- Your account profile and credentials.
- Photos, videos, audio, notes, and any other content you uploaded.
- Recipient contact information you saved for scheduled deliveries.
- Scheduled letters that have not yet been delivered. They will not be sent.
- Usage and device data linked to your account.
4. What we may keep, and why
A small amount of information may be retained briefly after deletion:
- Subscription and billing records held by Apple or Google, which we don't control.
- Anonymized or aggregated logs that can no longer be linked back to you.
- Anything we're legally required to retain (e.g., tax, fraud prevention).
